Meet Dr. Matt Waite

Hi! I’m Dr. Matt! I was born and raised in St. Louis, and after 10 years of adventuring and living outside of the state I’m thrilled to be back in the community that I grew up in. I graduated Saint Louis University with my Masters in Public Health and from University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry with my Doctor of Dental Surgery. I then served in the Army. I was stationed in Tacoma, Washington and did one tour in the Middle East working at a combat support  hospital in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
 
While I loved my time in the Army, I was surprised to find that even such brave men and women have a fear of the dentist that started at a young age. As a result, I decided to go back to school to pursue pediatric dental specialty to learn how I could help children develop the skills to master the dental experience and look forward to coming to the dentist. I completed my pediatric dental specialty training at University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. My goal is to help every child (and their parent) feel safe, comfortable and proud of themselves as we work together to create and maintain healthy smiles!

I am pumped to be a team member of Pediatric Dentistry of Sunset Hills, where we are committed to providing excellent dental care, with a focus on prevention, education and of course, smiles! When I’m not counting teeth, you can find my wife Ellen and I cheering on our favorite sports teams, playing pickleball and golf, and exploring St. Louis! So much has changed in the last 10 years, so when you come visit please tell me your favorite spot you think we should visit!
